Wound care and stoma nursing must be the sine qua non cadre for every hospital.

Wound care is a subject that is really onerous and requires patience.

To give a simple example, dressing is done for days even to heal a small wound in patient's hand and the healing of the wound is patiently expected.

You treat the patient in its entirety; nutrition, infection, physical therapy, personal hygiene and care, treatments, examination results; each of them is a light that sheds light on your treatment.

You do dressing with the same care for days. For days, weeks and even months, you will wait patiently for the wound to heal. Then the wound heals.

The Wound Care and Repair Association organizes congresses and symposiums for those who are enamored of wound care. But this is insufficient. Wound care should be further developed and more specified field in Turkey. However, many unconscious and misplaced practices are left under the name of wound care in many health institutions.
